Comedy Inc.

Comedy, Inc. is the comedy troupe on campus that deals with sketch comedy, improvisation, and, on occasion, stand-up. We do mini-shows and big shows throughout the year for the student population, and have a strong online presence via Twitter. Some benefits of being a member of Comedy, Inc. include an increase in self-esteem, the ability to think on your feet, and a sense of community, as the members of this organization are very close. If there's an organization on campus that's as close and welcoming as we are, I can't think of one. Also, we're very funny.

USITT

Northwest Student Chapter

United States Institute of Theatre Technology, or as it is more commonly referred to, USITT, is Northwest's technical theatre organization. USITT keeps performing arts technical professionals in touch with today's rapidly changing scene by fostering a free exchange of ideas and information regarding theatre technology. USITT actively promotes research and investigation in performing arts technology. It is a national organization with an international association. Weekly meetings consist of workshops planned and put together by the executive board of our student chapter on an array of different parts of the technical world of theatre. Members will also get to design stage lights for the Northwest Dance Company's semi-annual Dance Show. Along with participating in workshops, national members in good standing also get the opportunity to travel with the organization to USITT's national conference and stage expo in the spring.
